What it does

113 guides, written for the aisle. Each one tells you what to look for, what to press, what to smell, and what to walk away from. Thirty seconds, not an article.

Three stages for produce, two for the counter. Unripe, ripe, past it - with photographs of what each one actually looks like. Meat and fish get the only two answers that matter: take it home, or walk away.

Check it. Point your camera at something and Freshpedia tells you what it is and how it looks. Identifying the item works offline, on your phone.

Recipes that start at the store. Seasonal, and keyed to what you just learned to pick.

Who makes it

Freshpedia is built by a small independent team. We do not collect personal information, we do not run ads, and we do not track what you read - the guides are on your phone, not on a server. The privacy policy says exactly what the app does and does not do, in plain language.
